How to Make Hot Fudge Sauce

Add the chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar, cream, milk, and salt to a saucepan and place on the stove over medium heat. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture comes to a gentle simmer.
Let the sauce simmer for 3 minutes, stirring regularly.

Remove from the heat and stir in the cold, cubed butter and vanilla until fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth and glossy.

Use warm, or transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. To reheat, warm gently over low heat on the stovetop or in the microwave until it’s pourable.

Ingredients
- 1¼ cups (212 g) semi-sweet chocolate - roughly chopped. I use 50% dark chocolate. I recommend using a good quality chocolate block.
- ¼ cup (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder - I use Dutch processed
- ½ cup (100 g) white granulated sugar
- ½ cup (160 g) light corn syrup
- 1 cup (240 g) heavy cream
- ⅛ tsp salt - omit if using salted butter
- ¼ cup (56 g) unsalted butter - cold and cubed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract/essence
